STARTING POINT: Arusha/ Moshi/ Same
Tour will start with hotel pick up early in the morning and a short briefing about the tour, then start driving towards Mkomazi National Park for a game drive till late afternoon. Then after we will drive back to Same, Moshi or Arusha in evening.
Pickup from the Hotel to the Gate (Zange Entrance Gate)
Your day kicks off as we pick you up from your hotel or residence in Same or Moshi. With packed lunch boxes in hand, we'll hit the road, embarking on a journey to Mkomazi National Park, which is situated approximately 120 kilometers from Moshi and through Zange Entrance Gate which is 6 Km from Same town (from Arusha 190 km).
As we make our way through Zange Entrance Gate, we will pause briefly for check-in and to provide you with all the necessary details regarding the timing of your visit to the rhino sanctuary. This ensures that you are well-informed and ready to embark on this special and educational journey.
Start of Game Drive
Upon reaching the park, your adventure begins with a thrilling game drive. Keep your eyes peeled for a wide array of wildlife, including Oryx, gerenuk, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, jackal, elephant, buffalo, hartebeest, giraffe, warthog, and crocodiles. Mkomazi National Park shares a border with Tsavo National Park in Kenya, allowing for the seamless movement of wildlife between the two parks. You also have the option to visit the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary at an additional cost, where you can gain insights into the black rhino breeding program, ongoing monitoring, and anti-poaching efforts.
